Beaches to visit on the island

Ftelia

Visitors to Ftelia Beach can enjoy a range of activities, including windsurfing, kite surfing, and swimming in the refreshing waters. The beach is not as crowded as some of the other beaches on Mykonos, offering a more serene and tranquil atmosphere for relaxation. There are sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent, as well as a beach bar where visitors can grab a refreshing drink or snack.

One of the most famous establishments at Ftelia Beach is the Alemagou Bar Restaurant. Alemagou is renowned for its bohemian-chic atmosphere, delicious Mediterranean cuisine, and vibrant beach parties. It is a must-visit spot for those looking to enjoy great food, refreshing cocktails, and a lively ambiance right by the sea.

The design of Alemagou reflects the traditional Cycladic architecture with a modern twist, creating a unique and stylish setting for visitors to unwind and socialize. Whether you’re looking to relax during the day or dance under the stars at night, Alemagou offers an unforgettable experience at Ftelia Beach.

Psarou

Psarou beach is currently the island’s trendiest beach, hosting one of the most famous beach bars worldwide “Nammos”. Hotspot for all celebrities and party lovers, Psarou Beach promises remarkable moments of luxury dining, swimming in  crystal clear waters and enjoying the top notch vibe of this pristine location.

Platys Gialos

Platys Gialos is a beautiful beach with crystal-clear waters. It is also a convenient starting point to discover other beaches, on foot or a water taxi. It is connected to Mykonos Town by frequent bus services.

Super Paradise

Super Paradise is one of the most famous beaches on the island, home to the also famous Super Paradise Beach Club. It is mostly crowded and full of life, but at the same time the water and the views are just perfect. Although it is a party beach, the calm waters also attract families and couples on honeymoon.

Paraga

A relatively small beach, Paraga is one of the island’s most popular beaches. It is within walking distance from Paradise Beach, and can be reached by bus. From here you can actually see the island of Delos in the distance.

Ornos

Known as a family-friendly beach, Ornos is also one of Mykonos' trendiest, most popular and crowded beaches. It offers lots of restaurants and places to stay, and is a frequent stop of many boats and yachts. It is located in the south of the island, and is for those who prefer a more developed, resort atmosphere.
